"What's your story and how have you embraced it?"

There are three parts to my story. These three parts have shaped my life and made me who I am.

First,  I was blessed to be born into a family (another important part of my story) and a situation where I learned the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have tried to follow His example every day of my life. I'm not perfect - far from it. But, I strive each day to be better. I often wonder why and how I became so blessed.

Next, and a very close second, is the moment I realized that Trent Grant was the person that I wanted to spend an eternity with at my side. I had written a list of the things I wanted in a spouse. Trent met them all. I am a completely different person because of him. I'm better than I ever thought I could be. I'm more confident than I thought possible. I've accomplished more than I ever planned. And, with him we have four beautiful children (adults) that we love and have taught us much.

Finally, I somehow landed in a career that I didn't plan to have. I learn something new each day. Teaching is difficult. It is no thrills. Teaching isn't glamorous. Most of the time it isn't regarded highly. But, I know that teaching has helped me become the person I am.

All the other parts of my life are deeply affected by these three. My reactions to the day to day mundane tasks are based upon these three. My life is good. My life is blessed. My life is not perfect. My life has challenges. My life has joy. I embrace it all. These three things keep my moving forward.
