Many years ago, and I don't even remember how long it has been, our ward was split and we were moved into the St. Anthony 4th Ward. I was given a new Visiting Teacher, NaDara Holman. I didn't know her other than I knew she had worked at the library and I'd seen her there a few times. I also knew her husband had recently died. She was so faithful in visiting. She came every month. Pretty soon I looked forward to her coming. She has had many struggles in her life, especially since her husband died. But, she never complains. She has such a great testimony and always happy to share. But, she also has a great understanding of the struggles of others. She also understands anxiety and depression because her children have suffered terribly from it. But, she is always happy. She has become one of my best friends. During this COVID-19 times I have really missed our visits.
I've often thought about how she maintains her positivity and joyful attitude in the face of challenges. I think I've found it. She is always serving - others and the Lord. That is her secret. For all these years, I've never seen her when she isn't serving someone. I've never talked to her when she wasn't doing family history work, cooking or making something for someone, or studying the scriptures. She is always busily engaged in good works. I love her example!
