What do you do when a bad day comes your way? I've always felt there were two possible reactions possible. One- curl up and wither away for a while until the world can be encountered again. Two- or not! I take option two. I've never been one to curl up. I don't see the purpose. Also, I can't envision what "encountering" looks like and when that will happen, if ever.
A bad day gets me going. My favorite outlet is the outdoors. The fresh air clears my thoughts. The sun warms my heart. The rustling trees calm my nerves. And, people always wave or say hello helping me realize that I'm cared for. Sometimes I walk along "Look the Other Way Trail" and talk to myself to get it out. I walk until I'm finished feuding inside.
I also remember that tomorrow is a new day to make it better. I love mornings for that. I get to start again, face things head on, and accept the daily challenges with the resolution to do better and be better. I think the promise of tomorrow is one of the greatest blessings. Annie sung, "Just thinking about tomorrow clears away the heartache and the sorrow 'til there's none." It is true.
Bad day? Get out there and look toward tomorrow!
