TV was awesome when I was a kid. We had four channels - ABC, NBC, CBS, and PBS. We watched on a big box TV that didn't have a remote. We changed the channel with a dial on the box. I don't remember having rabbit ear antennae, but we may have. My family watched a lot of TV. It is what we did for family entertainment. If our work was completed, we could watch TV. After school and Saturday evenings was kid time. Without a doubt, my favorite TV show was Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. I watched it when I was very little. I watched it as a preteen. Fred Rogers is one of my favorite people in the world. I was introduced to so many aspects of the world with his show. I learned how things were made. I learned about city neighborhoods - much different than my own. I remember all the iconic moments from the show. I LOVED it. To this day it is still my favorite TV show.
Today I don't watch any series. I am a reality contest show watcher. My family teases me about it. I like the lack of drama. I like the competition. I like watching others learn new things and stretch. I think it is fun. However, if I see a documentary, re-run, or movie about Fred Rogers, I pick to watch it above anything else. Nothing will ever be better than that show.
