What Were the Ten Biggest Things That Happened to You This Month? December 2020

1. I put up the Christmas decorations and downsized so much. For the entire month I didn't feel claustrophobic in the living room. All the nativities were put up on the shelves making it much easier to appreciate. It was fun to look at them all. There were a couple Facebook pages that ask us to share our favorites. I liked sharing those I love most.

2. I bought a tree-topper. I have wanted one for years but couldn't find one that I really liked. This year I spotted it and it was exactly what I had been seeking for. It is just a Santa head that sits upon the top branches. It is so cheery!

3. My foot healed and I walked free of pain - a first since Labor Day weekend. I am so grateful!

4. I did almost all my Christmas shopping online. I am guessing 90% was delivered to our home. And, I tried to shop places that weren't Amazon. This was fun too.

5. I guarantined. Adri and Katy got COVID. Adri tested positive. Katy tested negative twice but had all the symptoms and the same exposure. This was tough on all of us. Maybe toughest on Collin and then on Katy.

6. Julianne Hill visited our school on behalf of the school board. She said the nicest most positive words to me after visiting my classroom. She left oranges for everyone in the Faculty Room. It was a great moral boost to our faculty.

7. Secret Santa 12 Days of Christmas with the Erikson family happened. We shopped, wrapped, and divided up days for gifts to be delivered by each of the five family groups. The family was given to us through the school. The family was so grateful! It was the highlight of the whole Christmas season. I got caught delivering twice and so on my third day (Christmas Eve), I asked Santa to deliver the gifts instead.

8. We went back to church in the building. It was wonderful to see peope we haven't seen in years. We were also released from our calling at the JCC after five years. Trent was called as the ward clerk.

9. Trent and I had opportunity to deliver food to needy families in our ward. Then I delivered little gifts and cookies to our ministering families. Felt like part of the ward again.

10. Spent Christmas with our families. Gathering at the Eriksons with everyone to open presents. Dinner with the Erikson and Grant parents and Tracie. That is becoming a tradition. New Years weekend with our family at a cabin in Island Park.Wonderful!
