Sacrifice: the act of giving up something good for something we believe to be better
I have thought a lot about any sacrifices I have made in my life. I honestly don't recall making a significant one. However, I do believe that in order to grow and to love others, we all must make sacrifices. When I chose to marry Trent, my life took a different path. It wasn't a sacrifice. It was a great blessing that put me on a path that I couldn't have been on without him. In order to grow together and increase our love, we made, and continue to make, individual sacrifices that strengthen our marriage. I don't feel like I have given up anything to make this happen. It is just something I do because I love him and love us. When we chose to have children, we were directed to a differnt path where it has become even more necessary to make sacrifices in order to raise, support, and love them. But, none of those choices have been missed. Again, it is something I do because I am their mom and love them. I have a wonderful life with many blessings. The choices I made were not sacrifices but led to something better.
